O.k., day 2 ~ post nap (a really, really good nap!): We are blessed to have my grandmother here today. I had to post this photo because I have the exact same picture with her when I was Gracie's age. She is still the same loving and giving woman that I was fortunate enough to grow up knowing. She played, cleaned and babysat while I ran around like a mad woman trying to finish all of the things I successfully avoided yesterday. I can honestly say I am finished ~ except for that giant load of laundry in the dryer. I figured it was easier to dry it a million times verses actually doing three separate loads. The thought of whites mixed with REDS, plus a few kitchen towels, is almost enough to send me over the edge, but desparate times call for desparate measures. Anyway, Amazing Gracie slept like a champ today which means she woke up with her joyful, sweet self in tact. Over the monitor (turned all the way up, since I was working in the basement) came "MOMMA! ARE YOU STILL OUT THERE?" I had to laugh out loud because I HAVE been way out there lately. The past few weeks have had us running in way to many directions, which usually means we lack on our "popper time" (a.k.a. Private time, which is when we play all by ourselves in her room. It started when we had her cousins visiting a few months ago and she could not seem to be nice. I finally realized she was way over stimulated and just needed 100% of my attention. Hopefully we will not need to implement "popper time" when they come back next month:)). Well, I guess my baby knows me even better than I realized. She always know just how far to push and exactly when to back down, but I did not know she could identify when momma was over extended and just hanging on until Sunday. What more could I want for Mother's Day then to just spend a quite, stress free day with the family (however, I am extremely grateful for my new bike ~ thanks daddy!).
